How to get there

On arrival in Calais, take the A26 heading in the direction of Reims( toll 17-26 euros). Then follow A4 through Reims. After approx 15 miles take the left fork in the direction of Metz .Take next exit sign posted Chalon sur Marne (toll 4 euros). Turn right and then second right, signed Vitry Le Francois on the N44.( There is a speed camera as you leave Chalon - beware). Follow N44 until you come to a roundabout approx 20 miles. Turn left signed St Dizier on to N4. Follow N4 for 12 miles pass through village of Theiblemont take the 2nd exit on your right, signed ŒOrconte¹. This is virtually a hairpin turn so beware.

Approx 300 yards on the left is an open gravel roadway. Take this and you will see the lodge directly in front of you.

The entire journey takes no more than 3.5 hours. 99% of the route is on superb uncluttered main roads with numerous rest areas .You are very unlikely to experience any delays in France except due to weather conditions.
